Should we ever end up broke and homeless at least we’ve learned one thing from our experience writing free samples, how to eat for free, legally!
Where not to eat free samples
Sure some of you eat grapes and candy samples at your local store, but that’s a bit of a grey area when it comes to sampling. We’re against eating samples where they are not labeled as free.
Whole Foods is a great place to eat for free. They have lots of free samples all around the aisles. Everything from cheese, to fruit, to bread is waiting for you! Sure they want you to buy the stuff you are snacking on, but when you are trying to eat for free, every sample helps.
This does require a membership fee, unless you sneak it the side, or go in with a friend. We’ve often left full here sampling everything they have. You never know what those sample people are going to have. Popcorn, pizza, cake?
Meijer, Walmart, Grocery Stores in General….
This is a little more rare. Generally the weekends are the best time, sometime between 9 am and 4 pm seems to be the best time to engage in samples.
Sample A Day posts samples daily that are free with no catch. We double check the offers to make sure they are real. Offers can expire quick so check back daily!
Nick Skeba helped cofound this site back in 2007. He lives in Chicago and loves free stuff! People are always asking him how he gets so many deals? He just tells them, Sample A Day! He writes a Coupon Site as well as this website.
Scott Aaronson also helped cofound this website and even though is a lawyer by day, he's still loves his free samples. Find him eating lunch from the sample ladies at Costco!
