So usually we don’t post about freebies that aren’t 100% free, but we couldn’t help but post about this great LYFT offer.   They are offering LYFT rides for as cheap is it costs to take the MUNI.  For those of you who don’t know what LYFT is in San Fran, it is a ride sharing app.  For those of you who don’t know what LINE is, it allows multiple people to get into the car on a line.  Think carpooling meets ride sharing.  While this is GREAT, most of the time one person in the line fails to show making it pretty much the same thing as a private ride.

If you are NEW to LYFT first take your free $20 first ride.

You can do that at THIS LINK

After you signup using that link and promo code associated with it (or for people who already have LYFT), then follow the directions below:

  • Apply Code: Enter the code MATCHMUNI in the ‘Payment’ section. Be sure to hit ‘Apply’
  • Request Ride: Select Line in the top-center ride selector.  Then, request a ride anywhere east of Stanyan St. and north of Cesar Chavez St.
  • Go: They’ll text you when your Line arrives. All you need to do is hop in.

Rides must start and end within the zone to be $2.25. Boundaries are east of Stanyan St. and north of Cesar Chavez St.
