So this isn’t a traditional free sample, some might even say this isn’t a free sample at all. This “free sample” has to do with a settlement if you purchased Kellog Mini Wheats Cereal.

What they say about this “free sample”:
“A proposed settlement has been reached in a lawsuit involving Kellogg, the company that makes Frosted Mini-Wheats. The Lawsuit claimed that Kellogg falsely advertised that its Frosted Mini-Wheats cereal improved kids’ attentiveness, memory and other cognitive functions to a degree not supported by competent clinical evidence. Kellogg stands by its advertising and denies it did anything wrong.

The Court did not decide who was right. Instead, both sides agreed to a settlement. By agreeing to a settlement, the Parties avoid the costs and risk of a trial and the Class will get compensation. The Class Representatives and their attorneys believe that the settlement is in the best interests of the Class Members. ”

Of course the attorneys will also be taking a nice free sample of their own. You can get up to $15 ($5 per box that you purchased). Now they don’t require proof that you actually bought it, but we would never tell you to lie if you havent. That would be unethical.

The free sample:
